The playground equipment needs a cosmetic touch up, as you can tell, things look weathered and outdated. I really like how low one of the play structures is, it is perfect for younger/smaller toddlers. And then the other one is perfect for bigger children. If the equipment was newer or touched up I would have given 5 stars because this is a great playground.
Good place to take your kids on just saying
You can't find a long course lap pool with friendly staff at dirt cheap prices like this in other cities. $.80 if you buy a ten swim card!! And some days when I'm out of cash they trust me to bring it next time. Like I said, you can't find that anywhere! They are open every day of the week, most days, and send timely updates when there are changes in the schedule. I love the long course and how easy it is to access and use. The showers really need some work - they are very old and not very clean - and sometimes the pool has a lot of questionable items floating in it - but for the price and availability, I'm still giving it 4 stars.
My kids like this park and so do I. My only complaint, as with all parks in McAllen, is that there is not enough benches, and they are not adequately shaded. Bathrooms could really use an upgrade as well!
Cute park, Family friendly, and has a great pool. They also have great swimming lessons for kids.
