It is an awesome place for even Vegan like me and I really enjoyed it. The staff serves so warm heartedly that I was deeply impressed.
Also grossly overpriced, especially for McAllen, Texas.
It's probably the best Lebanese food in McAllen, but maybe that is just a sign that there doesn't need to be a Lebanese restaurant in McAllen. When everything ordered by the table (gyro, kefta, chicken schwarma) should be grilled, but seems to be fresh out of a microwave, sans any semblance of ever being exposed to a flame, it's hard to get a positive impression.
By far the most accommodating Lebanese Bistro in Texas. Customer service is the best, consistency is key when it comes to business and they have kept the bar high since day one! If I want a for sure great meal, this is gonna be my go-to place in the valley.
Try especially the falafel with tabbouleh salad and add an extra tablespoon of olive oil, with which they provide you. Such a dish will convert you to Lebanese food faster than you can say "shawerma." In addition, try the Turkish coffee, which will have you order multiple pots, due to its great strength and its robust flavor.
As an ovo-vegetarian, I highly recommend this place, especially if you are vegan, for this place has plenty of delicious vegan dishes that aren't solely salads. This place has given me the inspiration to become fully vegan, as it has shown me that vegan dishes can, in fact, be delicious. I have the utmost desire for this bistro to continue business as long as possible, for such a rarity in the Valley should not disappear.
If you're not familiar with Lebanese food, don't worry. The owner does a great job of explaining their menu and answering any questions you may have.
The Lebanese Bistro is a hidden gem in the McAllen area! So glad I finally visited it!!! The food and flavors are amazing! Everything tasted fresh.
Do yourself a favor and visit this restaurant ASAP! I highly recommend it!
