Kudos to the staff and movers. After being cancelled without notice by Chapa's moving services. I called Rick's moving service and they had a team out to help we within the hour. Thanks guys
The place is a ripoff. Very poor communication. First off the lady on the phone told me 65 for 2 hours. I thought that was great. They sent the truck, and all I had was a bed, entertainment system and some small boxes. The movers told me 75 for 2 hours. I was fine with that...thought maybe it's with taxes. When they moved everything m they gave me a bill of 150. Apparently it's 75 an hour for at least 2 hours. Which would be 150. Very very shady company!
The first day Rick's sent over 3 workers. They took such care packing our belongings into the truck that a puzzle maker could not have done a better job. Because of their skill we were able to use only one truck and save ourselves over a thousand dollars. Rick's was the only mover we contacted who believed he could get all our things in one of his larger than usual moving vans and I frankly didn't believe him until it actually happened. Kudos.... and apologies to Rick for doubting him.
LITERALLY ALL my furniture got ruined! All of it got multiple scratches or bumps, my brand new dinning room table got a scratch right in the center and on the legs, my brand new crib got ruined as in we need a new crib ruined,my dresser, some other tables, my tv stand,like literally everything. All the carboard boxes looked like they had been through hell and back. Also one of the workers started begging for money the minute he got there and kept reminding us that "tips are cash". I'm really upset that our brand new furniture got ruined, It sucks because I was really looking forward to putting all that new furniture into our new house and now it'll all look ugly and scratched :/
In June of 2013 we moved from Edinburg in the Rio Grande Valley to Houston, TX. I had already packed all the moving boxes myself.
I was so impressed with their services that I am recommending them to my son for his upcoming move home to Houston.

After spending a day packing up our 3 bedroom, two story house the worker's secured the moving van full of our belongings on the Rick's Moving and Storage property overnight.
The next morning two different worker's left very early and drove the van to Houston and we met them at our new home that morning. They proceeded to carefully unpack our belongs and place them in the correct rooms. This was another all day job but they kept at it until it was done.
I've used this company 4 times love the service very careful with my furniture and attentive staff
