I called a 3rd time and was on hold for over 20 minutes. By this time i am so upset, I'm just trying to get this done so i can make sure i am able to support my sons special needs since they have now stopped the check since i sent my ex husband to make the change. Luckily this woman answered. I explained the situation and asked the same question. She was very nice and apologized for the mans behavior and stated my call had been routed to another office so she did not know who the man was.
This so called office does nothing. When someone goes to find out about what needs to get done they look and talk to you like one should know. Some of us dont think about retiring as soon as we can. Some concentrate on work. Social Security office personnel need to learn to be more informative.
Service is okay. Some workers are SUPER helpful, some are just plain rude. Reason for 3 stars is there's NEVER anywhere to sit. People here are rude and don't want to give up their seat to the elders. I'm always the one to give up my seat to an elder even though I'm pregnant.
I called again and was on hold for about 13 minutes before i was able to speak to anyone. The same rude man answered. I tried being nicer and asked about an appointment. As soon as i asked he hung up on me. I was also going to ask what paperwork i need to make the change but i didnt even get the chance to ask that.
Dont matter what time you get here they dont go based on first come first serve... Tickets are random.. I got here since 7 a.m i was the 4th person here they open at 9 a.m making it 2 hrs of me standing outside in pain with my back problem it is about to be 10 a.m and going and i still havent been called on... No pose wow..
They don't know what they are doing or have several things to do and can't multitask. They wont admit their errors therefore don't expect an apology! They take things lightly and don't care how it affects the individual(s) involved.. Supervisor will not take or return calls. I hope they ALL reap what they sow!
This woman was so nice and scheduled an appointment for me and gave me all the information i needed. The rude man was in the McAllen office and the nice woman was in the Mission office. I tried to get my appointment there but because of Jurisdiction i have to stay in McAllen. They really need to listen to calls and fire that man for how rude he was. Especially for hanging up on me when i clearly was not done asking questions.
The 1 star is being generous just so everyone knows. My son gets social security and since my husband and i got divorced, i had to change everything to my name. I had my husband go and take his name off everything. I have a very strict job that i cant get off work. I called to try and get an appointment. The first time i called i asked for the mans name and he refused to give it to me. I brushed it off and just asked my question. I asked for an appointment since i struggle to get time off and the man was very rude. He kept cutting me off and talking over me so i asked to speak to someone else since he was being so rude and he said "you can speak to someone when you come in" and then hung up on me. Keep in mind i was on hold for 15 minutes before i was able to speak to this rude person.
