Unfortunately our slab at our vacation home in Port Isabel had cracked and we needed it fixed. Doors inside the house were not closing properly. Jared from Aztec came out and explained what needed to be done. We signed a contract and a crew was scheduled. Since this is a vacation property it was very important that the crew came on time and completed the job since we live over 375 miles away in Houston! Juan and his crew came on Monday evening and started working. They came back on Tuesday and did more work. They had to reschedule for Friday to finish because they were waiting on the concrete footings to cure properly. I was a little concerned that they would be able to finish on Friday because I had a function to attend in Houston on Saturday. Juan and his crew got started pretty early Friday and worked unbelievably fast. The house was leveled, dirt picked up and concrete slab patches were repaired by 12:00 noon! They were very professional and actually cleaned everything up to the same level it was before they started. I am normally a pretty hard to please customer, but Aztec really performed well! They deserve your business.
We would hire Aztec again in a heartbeat, for the company does high quality work right the first time. We have had Aztec undertake four major jobs for us, and the fact they did more than ones is indicative of the faith we have in this company. Aztec leveled our foundation, put on a new roof, replaced a patio roof that had become separated from the house (and we had them extend the roof), and fixed a major plumbing problem resulting from poor construction practices in the sixties. They had to break through a concrete patio and tunnel our kitchen to fix the problem. The work was done expeditiously and we’ve had no problems since. We originally hired Aztec to level our foundation on the recommendation of a next-door neighbor, who also had his foundation leveled by Aztec. Our projects were completed as quickly as humanly possible. I should add that Aztec’s workmen are absolute professionals. They are competent at their work. They show up at the job site punctually, work all the time they are at the site (you don’t see them standing around talking or fiddling with their cell phones), and, they are both polite and courteous. I should add that they cleaned up afterward so that the grounds looked better than they did when they arrived. Anyone with a major job to be done would be, in our opinion, well advised to hire Aztec.
