Well about a year ago I took my dog once cause I wanted a groomer that was near my home. He came back fine but the next few days I noticed some red spots on my dog and they got irritated and a bit worse. This hadn't happened at my previous groomers before and I wasn't sure about the source of the irritation so I didn't say anything. A couple months later I needed a groomer for my dog before leaving on a trip and decided to try this place again and I had called the afternoon prior and asked if they would have time and how early the next morning I could take my dog in to be groomed. I also added that I needed him back before 12pm cause I was leaving town. They said yes they could do it. I was there a few minutes passed the time I was told they would be open (it was either 8 or 9 am) and no one was there. I figured someone may have been running late and so I waited around for almost 45 min and I tried calling cause I was told that the calls sometimes get forwarded to a cellphone. I left at least one message and I never heard back. My old groomer took me in right away and also from that day on my dog hasn't had any kinda of reaction for the same services. It may have been bad luck for me each time but it wasn't a good experience.
If they will be charging any additional fees, they should inform the customer before adding to what you had budgeted for.
I WILL NOT be returning. I don't like when places do that.
The owner is very friendly. I've taken my 2 dogs there several times and they always do a great job.
I will say that that they did a very nice job with my pet. What I am UNSATIFIED with is the fact that the price increased by 40%! I called ahead of time before going.
Brought my dog to get its nails trimmed and it was done within 5 minutes of me showing up. Excellent service, thank you!
I've been taking my pets to this spa since they first opened up in mission. I followed their move to McAllen. They have treated me and my dogs with nothing but respect and kindness. These aspects are very hard to find in a business especially in the valley. I now live 2 hours away and still gladly drive to Doggie Day Spa for my dog grooming services. They have reasonable prices, progressional Service and above all else have always had great results when my dogs are done.
