With the experience that I had at Ceballo's I would highly recommend you look for another funeral home. They are very expensive and do low quality work. Like I said Hidalgo County does their autopsy through here, so if that is necessary you can transport the body to another funeral home after the autopsy is done. It will save you a lot of headaches.

I've never been treated with such disrespect in my entire life. I just lost my father today and called to try and make some arrangements. The man on the other line literally had no remorse and was yelling asking me what I wanted, basically wanting me to get to the point. I have never lost a family member so obviously I had questions which seemed to have been bothering him. I told him I made a mistake even calling and he basically told me he did not care and hung up. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

My mom and dad where in a fatal car accident and my mom had passed away. Since the beginning they were horrible to work with. Hidalgo County does the autopsy at this site and I believed that they had to be prepared and sent to Washington State where my parents lived from Ceballo's. They transported my mom with no clothes on and when she was received in Washington her body had been badly mishandled and not cared for. When my dad died I found out that I could transport the body within Texas instead of using Ceballos. I sent my dad's body to Ric Brown Funeral Home in Texas and then transported him to Washington. The experience in between both of these places where night and day. I was charged $2200 to embalm my mom and this included a "discount" I was charged $1200 at Ric Brown without any discounts. I had my dad over in Washington in 2 days, and my mom arrived one week later. I received my dad's death certificate on week later and my mom passed and have not received anything since.

I had given them a higher rating elsewhere but I'm changing that right now. My brother passed away in September and I was asked by my sister-in-law to make the funeral arrangements. Years back, we had dealt with Ceballos F.H. and since I don't live in the Valley, I don't know any other homes. I should have looked around! My brother was viewed only one day and was creamated but the cost for "everything" was almost $6000! I was told, too late, that the cost for something like that should have been HALF of what we were charged! The obituary was asked to be in color, it came out black and white. The sign-in book had the relatives of deceased all mixed up... my nephew got that fixed later. The first picture that I used for the DVD had a large stain on the upper part of it and I was told they would photoshop that out... well, they didn't. Plus, later, in a conversation with my sister-in-law and my nephew, I come to find out that someone from the funeral home was calling them up because the home had forgotten to charge them another $450 for something else about the services! Luckily, she had the long detailed receipt, which also basically a contract because it has to get signed at the bottom by whoever is making the arrangements. So she told them that if they kept calling her, she would charge them for harassment and fraud. They stopped calling immediately. Shame on you for taking advantage of people!

Honestly I know your lying about this because this is one of the top funeral homes in the valley if anything these people always help people no matter what! Another reason why she would never "throw a corpse" out like that is because thats illegal to do to somebody! These people are my family and they have never turned away anybody who couldn`t pay they work out a plan with you for payments. The director isnt a cold hearted person like your trying to make her seem!!

Actually, 1 star is too much. If there was an option of no stars I would choose that. M was the most rude, unhelpful, and uncooperative person we had to deal with in a moment of grieving. His unwillingness to work with the family and the consulate was unbelievable.
